JA Solar, a Beijing, China-based manufacturer of PV products, has recently signed a two-year strategic cooperation agreement with Advance Prime Power Corporation (AP Power). The agreement was signed at JA Solar’s Beijing headquarters and has built on a previous supply deal for regional PV development. JA Solar has combined its manufacturing, research, and development capabilities with AP Power’s project expertise to jointly identify and implement solar PV projects. JA Solar has operated in the Philippines for over a decade, supported by localized services and long-standing strategic partnerships. As of Q1 2025, JA Solar’s cumulative cell and module shipments have exceeded 280 GW, with operations in 178 countries and nearly 1,900 patents. AP Power is engaged in solar, wind, hydro, and energy storage projects, with expansion currently underway across Southeast Asia. Earlier this year, JA Solar was contracted to supply 1 GW of modules for Masdar’s large-scale solar projects in Azerbaijan.
