Infinity Power Holding, a renewable energy developer jointly owned by Infinity of Egypt and Masdar of the UAE, has been awarded two PV projects. The International Finance Corporation (IFC) and the Government of Côte d’Ivoire have selected the company to develop plants in Laboa and Touba. According to IFC, both plants have a combined capacity of 80 MW and will supply electricity to over 400,000 households, schools, and businesses. The winning bid has set record-low tariffs for West and Central Africa at €0.03310/kWh for Laboa and €0.03213/kWh for Touba. The projects are under the World Bank Group’s Scaling Solar Program and have financial backing from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development. Construction is scheduled to begin in March 2026, with completion targeted by the end of 2026.
Côte d’Ivoire awards Infinity Power 80 MW solar at lowest rates
Record-low tariffs of €0.03310/kWh and €0.03213/kWh were achieved for two PV plants totalling 80 MW in Côte d’Ivoire, to be built by Infinity Power Holding with IFC.
