Spain-based Iberdrola and Pam Panorama signed a 1,000 GWh solar PPA to supply Pam, Panorama, Pam Local, and Pam City stores in Italy. The agreement aimed to support electrification and cut CO2 emissions by over 38,300 tons annually, meeting the energy needs of 40,300 households. By 2025, Iberdrola planned to reach 400 MW of installed capacity in Italy with a new operational plant and four additional photovoltaic projects. For the second year, Iberdrola was named the European PPA market leader, with 1,251 MW contracted, a 38% rise from 2023. Iberdrola announced 15 agreements in Europe, including wind and solar PPAs with Amazon in Spain, Portugal, and the UK, and deals with Italian companies BTicino, Acciaierie Venete, Prima Sole Components, and Bayer for about 50 MW.
