Iberdrola España, energy company in Spain, has signed a 10-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Tubos Reunidos Group to supply 120 GWh of renewable electricity to its production facilities in Álava and Biscay. The energy, sourced from nearly 10 MW of Iberdrola’s solar PV portfolio, supported the production of O-Next® zero-emissions seamless steel tubes. Tubos Reunidos has already produced 2,000 tons of these tubes for clients in Europe and the US. The agreement aligned with Tubos Reunidos' decarbonisation strategy and its use of electric arc furnace technology. The company advanced efficiency through mill reunification and increased its use of recycled materials. Recently, Iberdrola España and Schneider Electric completed a microgrid at Barcelona Factory.
