ibvogt, global solar developer, has commenced construction of the 99MW Tantangan Solar Power Plant in South Cotabato. The project is supported by PHP 4.49billion (~$80million) in green financing from HSBC. It is the first to use the joint Development and Construction Facility by British International Investment and Pentagreen Capital. Operations are scheduled for 2026, with an expected annual output of 150GWh. The plant is projected to serve over 82,000 households and reduce 66,000 tons of CO₂ each year. This is ibvogt’s second solar project in Mindanao. The company has over 1 GW in active development across the Philippines. Community programs have been integrated to ensure local benefits and long-term engagement in South Cotabato. Earlier this week, ib vogt also gained approval for a 30MW solar project in Wakefield, expanding its growing portfolio alongside the Tantangan development.
