Huasun Energy, a China-based manufacturer of heterojunction (HJT) solar modules, has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with TÜV Rheinland, a Germany-based global testing and certification provider, at SNEC PV Expo 2025. The partnership is aimed at developing the first lifecycle-based evaluation framework for vertical photovoltaic modules to address the absence of standardized testing methods. According to TÜV Rheinland, the framework will include lab validation, field performance data, reliability testing, and economic return analysis. Huasun Energy has contributed its expertise in HJT technology, while TÜV Rheinland is applying its certification practices to ensure consistency. The evaluation model is intended to support broader adoption of vertical PV by improving real-world confidence. In the same event, Huasun Energy also announced partnerships with Kaisheng, Almaden, Triumph, and Newtime to advance HJT commercialization through material innovation and technical collaboration.
