European Energy, a Denmark-based renewable energy developer, has signed PPAs with Amazon Australia for over 300MW of solar capacity across three projects. The Mokoan Solar Park in northern Victoria is operational with a capacity of 58MW and is expected to supply electricity to over 18,000 homes while reducing annual emissions by more than 60,000 tonnes. The other two projects—Winton North in Victoria and Bullyard in Queensland—are in procurement phase, with planned capacities of 130MW and 125MW, respectively. According to European Energy, the PPAs support Amazon’s renewable electricity targets and align with its strategy to scale operations in Australia. Earlier this year, European Energy also began construction on the 106MW Lancaster Solar Park near Kyabram in Victoria.
