European Energy, a global energy provider, has completed the 58 MW Mokoan Solar Park in Winton, Victoria, ahead of schedule and under budget. The solar farm entered grid compliance and performance testing and is expected to reach full commercial operations by June 2025. It can supply electricity to over 18,000 households and reduce emissions by 85,000 tons annually. Over AUD 95 million (~$59.76 million) was spent on Australian suppliers, creating 150 jobs during construction and eight ongoing roles. More than AUD 400,000 (~$251657) was allocated to community projects, including partnerships with the Yorta Yorta people. The project is part of a 9 GW pipeline and joined the Capacity Investment Scheme.
