Dublin,Ireland-headquartered ElectroRoute, a global energy trading and services firm, has signed three Power Purchase Agreements with Innova Renewables for 61MW of solar projects in Great Britain. The projects are part of a joint venture between Innova and Schroders Greencoat. All three projects secured Contracts for Difference. The PPAs have been structured for a 15-year term. ElectroRouteprovided route-to-market and trading solutions. The projects are expected to generate over 65,000MWh of renewable electricity. ElectroRoute used its trading access to optimize the solar output. It also supported the integration of the energy into the grid. Innova noted that ElectroRoute’s approach was flexible in meeting financing needs. The agreements were completed in a short time. ElectroRoute is continuing to expand its PPA portfolio in Great Britain, Ireland and Europe. This follows the earlier 40-year PPA signed by Dwr Cymru and Innova to supply the Five Fords sewage plant using energy from Wrexham and Cefn solar farms.
