EDP Renewables, the Spanish renewable energy subsidiary of EDP, recently commissioned its first PV project in Germany. The PV project with a capacity of 87 MW developed with Kronos Solar EDPR is expected to produce over 91 GWh of electricity every year enough to power about 28,000 homes annually and cut about 75,000 tons of CO₂ annually. The Brandenburg-based plant supplies clean energy to a major technology company under a PPA signed in 2024. The Ketzin project integrates global experience with local expertise to enhance grid efficiency, according to Duarte Bello, CEO of EDP Europa. EDP’s 2026–2028 plan includes 3 GW of solar, wind, and storage assets across Europe. EDP Renewables earlier delivered a 4.6 MW solar rollout with Leroy Merlin in Poland, extending its regional footprint.
