EDP Renewables, through EDP Energia Polska, has completed a 4.6 MW solar project for Leroy Merlin in Poland. The installation covered 26 store locations across the country. The project was built to make operations more reliable and energy efficient. It has lowered electricity costs and reduced the impact of market price changes. EDP said the system will cut about 3,000 tons of carbon emissions each year. The project supports Leroy Merlin’s plan to use more clean energy in its stores. EDP Renewables offered technical support and custom design for the installations. The partnership shows how more businesses in Poland are turning to solar power for their energy needs.
