China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) has shortlisted 9.6 GW of PV modules for its 2025 procurement, according to its recent announcement. Huasun Energy, headquartered in Anhui, was selected to supply 100 MW of heterojunction (HJT) modules under the sixth bidding package. CNPC said the selection reflects its requirement for high-efficiency modules in harsh environments like Xinjiang. Huasun Energy has a vertically integrated 20 GW HJT manufacturing capacity and has shipped 11 GW globally, including 1.8 GW to Ruoqiang. In 2024, Huasun said its G12 Himalaya modules achieved 26.5% cell efficiency and 768.9 W output. Test results from the CTC Hainan site have confirmed the thermal reliability of Huasun’s modules, with bifacial design and optimized temperature coefficients enhancing output in extreme climates. Recently, Huasun supplied 814.9 MW of HJT modules to China’s first 1.15 GW offshore pile-based PV-fishery project.
