Catalyze, a Houston-based developer and IPP, has completed four community solar projects in New York in collaboration with CS Energy, a New Jersey-based EPC contractor specializing in solar and storage facilities. The projects, located in Pavilion, Phelps, Fonda, and Fabius, have added 27 MW of distributed solar capacity, contributing to New York’s 6 GW statewide target, which is progressing ahead of schedule. According to Catalyze, the installations were supported by the Inclusive Community Solar Adder and Community Adder programs, ensuring participation from low-to-moderate income households and disadvantaged communities. These four projects mark the first half of an eight-site collaboration with CS Energy, with another 25 MW expected within the next year. Earlier this year, Catalyze had also acquired a 48 MW community solar portfolio from hep in New York, strengthening its presence in the state’s distributed generation market.
