Better Energy, a Danish renewable energy company, has signed two 10-year PPAs with Statkraft for solar parks in Poland. The agreements cover renewable energy from the Chociwel and Wągrowiec solar parks. Both sites are fully grid-connected and have a combined capacity of over 90 GWh annually. Statkraft will offtake 64 GWh of this energy each year. This amount can meet the yearly needs of 42,000 Polish households. The first PPA between both companies was signed in 2021 for the Resko solar park. Five more agreements were added later, bringing the total annual offtake to 210 GWh. Statkraft has said long-term PPAs support Poland’s renewable growth. Better Energy has stated these deals help deliver more clean energy to the market. The company also completed the sale of Enerfín Colombia and 130 MW of solar projects to Ecopetrol.
