Statkraft, a Norwegian renewable energy group, has entered into an agreement to divest Enerfín Colombia to Ecopetrol, the Colombian state oil company. The deal is planned to be executed in the Q3 2025, pending approvals. Enerfín Colombia, which is based in Bogotá, consists of eight under-construction renewable energy projects and the 130 MW Portón del Sol solar power plant, which has been up and running for more than one year. The facility is known as Colombia's initial utility-scale solar plant. Statkraft had purchased the Enerfín portfolio in May 2024, which consisted of 1.5 GW wind and solar assets in Spain, Brazil, and Colombia. The sale is aligned with Statkraft's strategy to withdraw from non-core markets and grow in the Nordics, Europe, and certain South American countries, Statkraft said. The ownership transfer has supported national control of renewable infrastructure.
