Berde Renewables, the Filipino clean energy developer financed by global infrastructure investor I Squared Capital, is set to increase its portfolio of renewable energy capacity in Southeast Asia to 500 MW by 2028. Berde Renewables has 50 MW of commissioned solar assets, 31 MW of development, and 150 MW of late-stage development with 100 MW of commissioned capacity to materialize by 2026. In March 2025, Berde Renewables executed a joint venture agreement with Power Systems and Solutions Co. Ltd. (PSS) of Thailand to build 300 MW of solar, hybrid, and battery projects in the industrial and commercial space, pairing Berde's capital strength with PSS's technology strength. Berde Renewables is also exploring expansion in Vietnam, Indonesia, and Malaysia with an emphasis on ESS, microgrids, and wind to enable decarbonization for the region. Berde Renewables also signed an 8.4 MW solar PPA in Mindanao earlier this year to advance its project delivery targets.
