Philippines-based Berde Renewables has signed a power purchase agreement with KCC Malls and Biotech Farms, Inc. to supply 8.4 MW of solar power in Mindanao. The project is expected to generate 13 million kilowatt-hours annually, offsetting 9,600 tons of CO₂ emissions. Solar energy will be supplied to KCC Mall Gensan, KCC Mall Marbel, KCC Mall Zamboanga, and Biotech Farms’ agro-industrial facility in South Cotabato. Berde Renewables has confirmed it will finance, construct, operate, and maintain the facility. The company is backed by I Squared Capital, a global infrastructure investor. Berde Renewables has already built 45.7 MW of solar projects in the Philippines, with 31 MW under construction. Its development pipeline includes 144 MW of new projects across the country.
