At the 2025 edition of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, India’s Avaada Group entered into an INR 36,000 crore (~ $4.3 billion) MoU with the Government of Gujarat. The agreement is aimed at developing integrated renewable and storage portfolio totaling 11 GW capacity across multiple districts in the state. As per Avaada Group, the portfolio includes 5 GW of solar, 1 GW of wind, and 5 GWh of BESS to be deployed in Kutch, Banaskantha, and Surendranagar between 2027 and 2030. The installations are expected to provide renewable power for industrial and community use. Avaada Group has stated that the initiative will create about 1,000 direct, 2,000 indirect, and 5,000 construction-phase jobs. Avaada Group also said the portfolio is projected to offset 12 million tons of CO₂ emissions annually and conserve 166 million litres of water using robotic cleaning systems. Avaada has also developed solar and battery facilities across Rajasthan, reinforcing its commitment to large-scale clean energy deployment.
