Aurora Solar Technologies, a Canada-based solar cell measurement company, has introduced BT Imaging’s Intelligent PL Solutions platform at SNEC 2025 in Shanghai. The platform includes the industry’s first inline contactless IV measurement system to enhance efficiency and defect detection for TOPCon, HJT, and tandem solar cells. Aurora Solar Technologies launched two tools: i5, integrating contactless IV measurement, imaging, and AI-driven defect detection, and R3-MJ, an offline tool for tandem and multi-junction cell research and quality control. The platform received three awards at SNEC 2025, including the APVIA Technical Achievement and Industrial Contribution Awards. Following technical demonstrations with two manufacturers, the platform is moving toward commercialization. Aurora Solar Technologies confirmed ongoing discussions for qualification tool sales, volume orders, partnerships, and investment to support global deployment. Prior to this, Aurora Solar Technologies introduced Lumus, a software tool to model PPA pricing across European energy markets.
