Aurora Energy Research, a UK-based energy analytics and forecasting firm, has launched Lumus, a software tool for evaluating PPA pricing. The tool enables utilities, investors, developers, and corporate buyers to assess long-term PPA value through configurable contracts and transparent pricing breakdowns. It incorporates market and weather scenario modelling to evaluate price and volume risks across volatile energy markets. According to Aurora Energy Research, Lumus builds on its pricing methodology, which has been used in over 15 markets for portfolio valuation and contract negotiation. The tool is supported by input from over 950 clients and a network of more than 400 regional analysts. Lumus was initially launched in Germany, Spain, Poland, the Netherlands, and selected Nordic regions, and is planned to expand across Europe and globally in future phases.
