AIKO, a China-based manufacturer of PV modules, has supplied more than 2,000 ABC modules for Pueblo Verde de Almonte in Huelva, Spain. AIKO’s 1.45 MW rooftop project is spread across 7,500 square meters on 20 industrial buildings and has powered more than 3,500 users. According to AIKO, the €1.1 million installation was commissioned in three phases during 2025. It is expected to produce 2.25 GWh annually and offset 585 tonnes of CO2 emissions each year. AIKO has said its modules enabled 61.75 kW more capacity than TOPCon panels, generating 212 MWh extra electricity in the first year. AIKO’s modules were designed with a -0.26% per degree Celsius temperature coefficient and reduced degradation rate for southern Spain’s hot climate. Earlier this year, AIKO had unveiled its 500 W Infinite ABC solar module under 2 sq mts, which highlighted its continued innovation in advanced module technology.
