Longroad Energy, a U.S. based renewable energy developer, has closed financing for its 220 MWdc solar and 214 MWac / 855 MWh storage project named Serrano in Arizona. This project, utilizing First Solar’s Series 7 panels, is expected to commence operations by mid-2025. Arizona Public Service (APS) has signed a long-term Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) for the project, which will generate enough electricity for approximately 61,000 Arizona homes. Nextracker and Sungrow are supplying trackers and solar inverters, respectively. Serrano is expected to avoid 330,000 metric tons of CO2 emissions annually.
