The Akira Lipe Resort on Thailand’s Koh Lipe Island has successfully addressed its power supply challenges by installing LONGi Hi-MO X6 solar panels. Faced with frequent outages and voltage fluctuations due to the island’s unstable grid, the resort turned to solar energy to ensure a stable power supply, reduce reliance on generators, and cut energy costs. The solar panels, recommended by Smart Solar Corporation Co., Ltd., have generated 550,000 kWh of electricity, meeting most of the resort’s energy needs and saving $33,000 monthly on electricity bills. This switch to solar power has resulted in $400,000 in annual savings and reduced carbon emissions by 258 tons per year, showcasing the benefits of sustainable energy solutions in remote locations.
