LONGi has launched its Global Distributed R&D Center in Jiaxing, Zhejiang, a 20,000 square meter facility supported by the municipal government. According to the company, the center focuses on technological development, product innovation, and market application of distributed PV systems, expecting to host over 300 researchers by the end of 2024. In 2023, LONGi invested RMB 7.721 billion in R&D, with over 5,000 researchers and 2,879 patents. This new center aligns with Xiuzhou District’s strategy to enhance the PV industry and establish a PV manufacturing cluster. The inauguration introduced the Xiuzhou District PV Intelligent Manufacturing Innovation Sharing Center to improve product lifecycle efficiency. Additionally, LONGi’s Partner Co-Creation Conference emphasized collaborative innovation, resulting in over 120 patents.
