New Zealand’s leading poultry provider Inghams has entered a 20-year agreement with Lodestone Energy. According to the agreement that will begin in 2025, Lodestone Energy will generate 100% renewable electricity from its solar farms located in the Bay of Plenty and Coromandel to meet Inghams’ energy demands. The flexible contract adapts to Inghams’ future energy needs and market conditions. As part of this deal, Inghams will receive Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs), which represent proof of renewable energy generation. Lodestone aims to add over 800 GWh of renewable energy to the grid by 2028 through this and other partnerships.
