A meeting led by Sh. Vikram Singh Malik, IAS, Administrative Secretary of the Power Development & New and Renewable Energy Department, UT Ladakh, discussed plans for a pilot solar project in Pang. The project is designed to accommodate livestock grazing through the use of elevated solar panels. Senior officials from SECI (New Delhi), PowerGrid (Gurugram), DIHAR, and other stakeholders participated in the meeting. The revenue department was instructed to identify a 2-hectare land parcel and conduct a joint survey with stakeholders within 15 days. SECI agreed to execute the project and was directed to complete the necessary paperwork to ensure the project begins in the next working season.
