JSW Neo Energy Limited, a subsidiary of JSW Energy Limited, has agreed to acquire a 4,696 MW renewable energy platform from O2 Power Pooling Pte. Ltd. for Rs12,468 crores (USD 1.47 billion), subject to approvals from the Competition Commission of India (CCI) and other customary clearances. The platform includes 2,259 MW of operational capacity, 1,463 MW under construction, and 974 MW in the pipeline, with completion expected by June 2027. It spans seven states in India, with a blended tariff of Rs3.37/KWh and 23 years of operational life. Most capacity is under long-term power purchase agreements (PPAs), including 596 MW of corporate and industrial (C&I) capacity. The transaction involves PwC, Khaitan & Co, Herbert Smith, KPMG, and Wind Guard for advisory, legal, financial, and technical services.
