India-based ITC Limited has commissioned its second offsite PV plant in Karnataka, with a capacity of 9.45 MW. Located in the Davangere district, this plant marks ITC’s fourth offsite solar facility in India, joining existing plants in Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh. The plant is expected to generate around 15 million kWh of renewable energy annually, which will power several ITC operations in Karnataka, including ITC Gardenia and ITC Windsor hotels, food manufacturing units in Mysuru and Malur, and other key facilities. This project will help ITC reduce its carbon emissions by over 12,000 tons per year. ITC’s efforts are aimed at achieving 100% renewable energy by 2030.
