US-based Ipsun Solar, in collaboration with Climate First Bank and Montgomery County Green Bank, has introduced new financing solutions for Maryland homeowners. The program follows a Build, Operate, and Transfer model. Income-qualified Montgomery County residents can secure loans at 0% interest for the first 10 years, then 7.99% for the subsequent 20. Non-income-qualified homeowners receive a 4.99% rate for the first decade, followed by 7.99%. For residents outside the county, Climate First Bank offers a 7.75% rate. Loans span 366 months with no payments for the first six months. Eligibility requires a 680+ credit score and a 50% debt-to-income ratio. The financing covers solar installations, roof repairs, and energy storage. Homeowners can use the federal solar tax credit toward loan repayment, with re-amortization options available to lower monthly payments.
