Spain-headquartered Ingeteam, specializing in power electronics, has strengthened its presence in the US solar market by supplying central inverters for two major PV plants in Texas, developed by Acciona Energía. The first project, with a capacity of 317 MW (AC), features 48 transformer stations equipped with 185 Ingeteam central inverters. The second project, with a capacity of 458 MW (AC), includes 71 medium voltage Full Skid transformer stations integrated with 131 INGECON SUN 3Power C Series liquid-cooled central inverters. The combined 710 MW (AC) project can generate enough clean energy to power 110,000 homes while preventing over 650,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions annually. Additionally, Ingeteam is finalizing another 325 MW solar project in Ohio, bringing its total contribution to over 1 GW of new solar capacity in the US.
