Indian textile manufacturers are increasingly adopting solar power. A textile manufacturer in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu has installed a solar power plant featuring LONGi’s Hi-MO 5 solar modules. The project, managed by EPC firm Viridis Engineering, was commissioned in two phases: 1 MW in May 2023 and 750 kW in February 2024. The plant has a daily generation capacity of 6 units, resulting in annual savings of ₹1.9 crore on electricity bills. This installation secures power for the plant’s operations, reducing monthly operational costs and promoting a greener future for the Indian textile industry.
