Zelestra India, headquartered in Gurugram, hasdeveloped a 435 MW solar power project in Rajasthan. The project was completed in under eight months on 1,250 acres of leased farmland. The project is operated under a 25-year power purchase agreement with Solar Energy Corporation of India.Farmers contributed by leasing land for the project, supporting energy expansion while generating stable income. The state has adopted the Integrated Clean Energy Policy 2024 and a Green Hydrogen Policy, attracting investment commitments of INR 6.57 lakh crore (~ $7.88 billion). Under the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, over 49,000 rooftop solar systems have been installed with INR 325 crore (~ $39 million) in subsidies disbursed. Around 70% of Rajasthan’s power capacity is now from renewable sources, including 29.5 GW from solar and 5.2 GW from wind. Recently, Zelestra has made a contract with SJVN to construct a solar hybrid project in India.
