Bengaluru-based Sunsure Energy has signed a long-term renewable PPA with Bisleri International for supplying solar power to the company’s Sahibabad facility in Uttar Pradesh. The agreement was designed to meet 48% of Bisleri’s electricity needs through solar energy. Sunsure has planned to supply power from its 82.5 MW Erach solar plant in the state. The shift was expected to lower Bisleri’s emissions by about 2,700 tons annually. Company representatives met in Mumbai for the signing event. Sunsure said Bisleri joined several FMCG clients using its renewable supply in Uttar Pradesh. Bisleri stated that the partnership supported its move toward reliable and cost-efficient solar power. Sunsure recently commissioned its tenth solar plant in the state, increasing its operational open-access capacity beyond 260 MW. In a prior development, Sunsure Energy secured a 19.36 MW hybrid power arrangement with Deepak Fertilisers in Pune.
