Singapore-headquartered Sembcorp Green Infra Private Limited is a subsidiary of Sembcorp Industries, has secured a 50MW round-the-clock (RTC) renewable energy project from SECI. The award is part of SECI’s 1.2GW ISTS-connected tender. The project is based on a 25-year PPA and must begin commercial operations within 24 months of signing. To meet RTC supply obligations, Sembcorp is deploying around 300MW of solar, wind, and battery storage capacity. The project is structured on a build-own-operate model and will be financed through a mix of internal accruals and external debt. It is not expected to significantly affect earnings per share or net tangible assets for FY2025. With this award, Sembcorp’s total renewables capacity in India has surpassed 6.5GW. Including pending acquisitions, the company’s global renewable portfolio has reached 18.0GW across multiple markets.Sembcorp Green Infra was also awarded a separate 150MW solar project with 300MWh BESS by SJVN under its 1.2GW tender across India.
