India-headquartered NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd, invited bids for a 900 MW (3x300 MW) solar project in Fatehgarh, Rajasthan. The package covered all balance of system work, excluding solar module supply. This included design, construction, electrical work, module mounting, Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), cleaning systems, internal roads, drainage, and a 3-year O&M period. Bidders had to submit bids online in two parts by 7 May 2025. Bid security ranged from INR 5 crore to INR 20 crore (~$0.585 million-~$2.34 million) based on the number of blocks quoted. To qualify, bidders needed experience in similar solar or industrial projects of at least 40 MW capacity, with one 10 MW project running for at least 6 months. Financial criteria included a turnover of INR 86–258 crore (~$10.06 -30.18 million) and a net worth equal to or more than their paid-up capital. Bidders also had to submit a signed non-disclosure agreement and proof of payment of INR 22,500 (~$263.27) to access documents. Only ETS-registered bidders could participate, and rules applied for bidders from countries sharing land borders with India. It also invited bids for a 600 MW ISTS PV project in Tumkur, Karnataka.
