NTPC Green Energy Limited, an India-based renewable energy developer, has declared commercial operation for 13.98 MW capacity from the ninth part of its 1255 MW Khavda-I Solar PV Project in Gujarat. This project operates under CPSU scheme Phase-II Tranche-III through NTPC Renewable Energy Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of the company. The project portion’s commercial operation commenced at 00:00 hrs on December 30, 2025, as disclosed by NTPC Green Energy Limited to stock exchanges. The group's commercial capacity was 7,996.30 MW before this addition increased total installed capacity to 8,010.28 MW. NTPC group's overall installed and commercial capacity now stands at 85,637 MW following this commissioning. Recently, NTPC Green Energy has initiated commercial operations of 69 MW solar capacity at Khavda, Gujarat.
