India-based power producer NTPC Limited has confirmed the start of commercial operations for part capacity at the Khavda-II Solar PV facility in Gujarat. According to the filing, 210 MW of the overall 1.2 GW installation became commercially operational from 01 February 2026. The capacity has been executed by NTPC Renewable Energy Limited, which functions as a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy Limited. The information was shared with Indian stock exchanges through a statutory disclosure. After this addition, the commercial capacity of the NTPC Green Energy Limited Group stands at 8,478.25 MW, while the installed capacity has increased to 8,688.25 MW. The addition of newly commissioned solar capacity has taken NTPC Group’s consolidated installed capacity to 87,665 MW, with commercial capacity recorded at 86,585 MW. Recently, NTPC Renewable Energy Limited began supplying 130.47 MW from the 1,255 MW Khavda-I solar project in Gujarat on January 29, 2026.
210 MW capacity declared operational at Khavda-II PV Project
Through an exchange filing, NTPC Limited has stated that 210 MW capacity at the Khavda-II PV Project in Gujarat has achieved commercial operation in its initial phase.
