India based NTPC Renewable Energy Limited, a subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy Limited, has began commercial power supply of 130.47 MW from the 1,255 MW Khavda-I solar project in Gujarat. The commercial operation became effective from 00:00 hours on January 29, 2026.This capacity represented the tenth part of the project under the CPSU Scheme Phase II Tranche III. With this declaration, the total installed capacity of the NTPC Green Energy Group increased to 8,478.25 MW, while the group’s commercial capacity stood at 8,347.78 MW, as per a regulatory filing.
