NTPC completes the 13 MW final phase of Solapur solar project

India-based NTPC Limited, a power generation company has declared the commercial operation of the pending 13 MW facility at the Solapur solar project. The notification covers the second and final tranche of the 23 MW capacity asset. This solar capacity entered service at 00:00 hours on December 25, 2025, at the Solapur PV Project in Maharashtra, India, under NTPC's ownership. With this addition, NTPC's standalone installed and commercial capacity has increased to 60,796 MW. At the group level, the total installed and commercial capacity has risen to 85,623 MW. Recently, NTPC Green Energy has commenced commercial operations at its 69 MW Khavda solar project.
