JSW Energy’s step-down subsidiary, JSW Renew Energy Forty-Five, has signed a 25-year power purchase agreement with BESCOM. The deal covers a 100 MW solar project with a 100 MWh battery storage system. The project is planned in Kalaburagi and will connect to the 220/400kV KPTCL Firozabad substation. The agreed tariff is INR 4.31 per kWh (~$ 0.05 per kWh). With this JSW Energy’s committed storage capacity has reached 29.4 GWh, including 3 GWh BESS and 26.4 GWh pumped hydro. The company is targeting 40 GWh of energy storage by 2030. JSW Energy is a private power producer with diversified generation and transmission assets. In Q4 FY25, its revenue rose 15.7% year-on-year to INR 3,189.39 crore (~$ 369.09 million). Net profit increased by 16.1% to INR 408.05 crore (~$ 47.221 million).A 261 MW renewable capacity was commissioned by JSW Energy prior to this PPA.
