Indosol Solar Ltd, an Indian solar manufacturer, plans to increase its capacity to 10 GW by 2026. The company currently operates a 500 MW module line in Andhra Pradesh. This facility is set to double its capacity by the end of 2025. Indosol also plans to extend production from ingots to modules by late 2024. It has secured essential equipment from China-based Linton Technologies Group with operations in Vietnam. This step addressed earlier concerns about technology access in India’s solar sector. The expansion reflects shifting dynamics in a market long dominated by Chinese supply chains. Indosol is in advanced talks with potential investors for a partnership. Discussions may include an off-take arrangement and are expected to conclude within three months.
