Indosol Solar to expand Ramayapatnam PV facility to 5 GW by 2026

By 2025, Indosol Solar, a subsidiary of Shirdi Sai Electricals Group is planning to complete 1 GW solar manufacturing at Ramayapatnam, scaling further by 2026.

Indosol Solar, a subsidiary of Andhra Pradesh-based Shirdi Sai Electricals (SSEL) Group, expected to achieve 1 GW ingot-to-module manufacturing capacity by December 2025 under the PLI scheme at Ramayapatnam. The capacity was planned to scale to 5 GW by October 2026, along with 1,200 TPD of glass manufacturing. By February–March 2027, the company aimed to reach 10 GW of downstream capacity. The upstream facility was scheduled to begin commercial operations by the end of 2027. Indosol Solar received about 29 acres of land earlier and an additional 114 acres after the new government took office. The company expected full land handover by August 2025. Overall, around 8,000 acres would be required to build the complete integrated facility, desalination plant, ancillary industries, township, training centres, and colleges.
