Acme Solar Holdings, an India-based renewable developer, has secured a 130 MW tender from REMCL to provide round-the-clock renewable energy to Indian Railways at INR 4.35 every kWh. The tender setup combines solar, wind, and battery storage for reliable dispatchable power from inter-state transmission locations. It requires 75% annual availability in the first three years following commissioning, increasing to 85% later. The company holds 2,934 MW in operational capacity and 4,456 MW under construction, featuring 13.5 GWh of battery storage. Earlier this year, ACME Solar has signed a 25-year PPA with Tata Power.
