ACME Solar Holdings Ltd, an India-based renewable energy developer, has signed a 25-year power purchase agreement with Tata Power Co Ltd for a 50 MW firm and dispatchable renewable energy (FDRE) project. According to ACME Solar, the agreement was concluded at a tariff of INR 4.43(~ $ 0.053) per unit, ensuring a minimum annual capacity utilisation factor of 40% and four hours of peak-hour supply with 90% monthly availability. The project will integrate solar generation with a battery energy storage system (BESS) to meet firm power delivery requirements under the contract. As per company data, ACME Solar has secured PPAs covering 600 MW of renewable capacity and 550 MWh of standalone BESS projects in the current financial year. The company’s operational portfolio currently stands at 2890 MW across India.
