Standard Solar has acquired an 84 MW community solar portfolio in Illinois, comprising 14 projects, contributing significantly to the state’s 100% clean energy goal by 2050. The community solar gardens will have six sites with a capacity of approximately 47 MW, four sites totaling 12 MW, and four sites representing 25 MW, with construction starting in 2024 and completion expected in 2025. Purchased from New Leaf Energy, the partnership emphasizes expanding clean energy access and providing job opportunities and benefiting lower to moderate-income customers through credits on monthly bills.
