AB “Ignitis grupė” (the Group) announces that the Tauragė solar farm, operated by its Lithuania based subsidiary UAB “Ignitis Renewables,” has achieved its commercial operation date (COD). Located in southwestern Lithuania, this hybrid project integrates a 22 MW solar farm with an existing 25 MW wind farm, collectively powering approximately 40,000 homes. The total investment in the solar farm is around EUR 14 million, lower than the previously estimated EUR 16 million. As per the company, following the COD, the Group’s total installed Green Capacities have reached 1.4 GW. The Group aims to increase these capacities to between 4 and 5 GW by 2030, growing from 1.2 GW in 2022. The successful implementation of the Tauragė project aligns with the Group’s strategic goals, also contributing to Lithuania’s energy independence and sustainability goals.
