Spain-Headquartered,Iberdrola, a leader in the renewable energy sector, has signed a 10-year Off-site Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with AcciaierieVenete Spa for a 12 MW capacity. This agreement will provide 230 GW of solar energy from one of Iberdrola’s PV plants which is under construction. The energy supplied will help to reduce CO2 emissions by approximately 6,960 tonnsannually which is equivalent to the impact of 64,000 trees and the energy needs of 5,800 households. This partnership aligns with AcciaierieVenete's plan to reduce specific CO2 emissions by over 50% by 2030.Iberdrola plans to expand its renewable capacity in Italy to 400 MW by 2025.
