Heliene, Inc., a leading North American solar module provider, has partnered with Premier Energies, India’s second-largest solar cell manufacturer, to launch a new solar cell manufacturing facility in the US. This facility aims to produce 1 GW of n-type cells annually, addressing the current shortfall in US solar cell production. The venture takes advantage of the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) of 2022, which provides incentives and tax credits for domestic clean energy manufacturing, Heliene claims. Heliene will oversee construction, project management, and operations, while Premier Energies will bring its expertise in cell technology, manufacturing processes, financial resources, and equipment selection to the project. This collaboration builds on the existing partnership between Heliene and Premier Energies.
