GSSG Solar, LLC, and Obton A/S of Denmark have formed a joint venture to acquire nine solar projects in Japan, totaling 117 MW. Currently, eight projects are operational, generating 104 MW, with one 13 MW project under development. These initiatives, part of Japan’s Feed-in Tariff program, will provide electricity to about 30,000 households across seven prefectures, reducing global carbon emissions by over 58,000 tonnes annually. The collaboration builds on a three-year partnership, following Obton’s previous acquisition of an 82 MW solar facility in Fukushima, Japan.
