Growthpoint Properties expands green energy portfolio with Etana deal 

Growthpoint Properties recently inked a landmark Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Etana Energy, marking South Africa’s first multi-jurisdiction renewable energy wheeling arrangement. This transformative deal ensures that 32% of Growthpoint’s total electricity consumption, equivalent to 195 GWh annually, will be derived from renewable sources. Tenants will benefit from reduced carbon footprints as Etana covers 70% of the power for Growthpoint’s buildings. Exclusive rights to purchase 30 GWh from Serengeti Energy’s hydroelectric power plant further solidify Growthpoint’s commitment to sustainability.
